Knights of the Order of St John in a medieval Hospital
Founded in the 11th century, the Knights Hospitaller cared for pilgrims who travelled to the Holy Land. This sketch, created by Doris Zinkeisen who served with the St John Ambulance Brigade during the Second World War, depicts pilgrims resting and the Knights tending to the sick.
