Queen Elizabeth II inspecting members of the St John Ambulance Brigade
After the inspection carried out by Queen Elizabeth in Hyde Park in May 1956, a parade took place. As the newspapers stated, the parade was conducted with military precision while the band played. Each region carried its flag and there were members from Malta, Australia, British Guiana [Guyana], Canada, Fiji, Gold Coast, Kenya, Malaya, Sierra Leone, Singapore, and Uganda.
