British War Medal 1914-1920 awarded to J. Gregson
This medal was introduced to mark the conclusion of the First World War in 1918, but was extended to cover service in 1919 and 1920 in mine-clearing at sea, and operations during the allied intervention in the Russian Civil War. More than 6.5 were awarded in silver or bronze, many to St John Ambulance volunteers.
