Correspondence regarding the creation of the Commandery, 1930 - 1936

Letters concerning the creation of the Commandery in New Zealand of The Grand Priory in the British Realm of the Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, the styling of the head of the Commandery, and the styling of the Commandery’s name. Also included is a typed ‘Memorandum on the New Zealand Commandery’, which includes notes on membership of the Order, the connection with the St John Ambulance Association and St John Ambulance Brigade, the organisation and administration of the Commandery, and the role of the Knight-Commander of a Commandery.
