In 1933, the Metropolitan Railway was absorbed into the newly established London Passenger Transport Board. From this point on the title of the Centre changed to London Passenger Transport Board (Metropolitan Line Centre). From 1946, the Centre's title changed to London Passenger Transport Board (Railways) Centre, and from 1948 the Centre was titled London Transport Executive (Railways) Centre. The Centre closed on 31 December 1948. Following this, a new London Transport Executive Centre of the SJAA was formed.
