The Delegation sailed from Tilbury on 27 October 1928, inspecting units from the Order, St. John Ambulance Association and St. John Ambulance Brigade in Ceylon (Sri Lanka) on their way. The Delegation was due to visit Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Tasmania and Canberra in Australia, and to have a your of New Zealand. Their anticipated departure date was 2 February 1929.
