Competition Medal, awarded to Dr W. Steven

This medal was awarded to the Instructor of one of the first aid teams taking part in the 1920 Competitions. Ackton Hall Colliery was a coal mine in North Yorkshire, which opened in 1873 and closed in 1985. At its peak, it employed 1,940 men underground and 636 on the surface.
