Princess Margaret practices mouth-to-mouth resuscitation while attending an Emergency Aid course
In this photograph, Princess Margaret is practising resuscitation on ‘Rescusi Anne’, a model used for medical training. Resusci Anne’s face is based on ‘l’inconnue de la Seine’, the death mask of an unidentified woman who drowned in the Seine in the 1880s. Rescusi Annes have now been used for over 60 years, and St John Ambulance still relies on these models for its first aid courses.
