Princess Margaret attends an Emergency Aid course and practices haemorrhage control
The St John Ambulance Grand President, Princess Margaret, asked to attend an Emergency Aid course which took place at Headquarters in February of 1977. The Princess was met by Marjorie, Countess of Brecknock, and then instructed on the 2-hour course by the Chief and Deputy Chief Medical Officers. She learned how to put a patient in the recovery position, practised haemorrhage control, and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation on a Resusci-Ann.
