Order of St John Breast Badge of a Serving Brother awarded to Thomas Firth
This silver skeleton badge (3rd type) was issued during the Second World War and until 1947. It was considered a temporary issue and could be exchanged for the next type from 1948. The design returned to a solid circular badge with a white enamel eight-pointed cross, with lions and unicorns in the angles, raised above the surface of black enamel and set in base metal.
