War Service Badge

Records relating to the War Service Badge, an award which can be made to members of the St John Ambulance Association or St John Ambulance Brigade who undertook voluntary War work in hospitals for two years, as members of Voluntary Aid Detachments with two white or red stripes, as ambulance drivers or ambulance attendants with over 250 hours' work, as workers in buffets, canteens or workrooms with over 1,000 hours' work, as air raid relief workers, or in any other war work with perilous duties.
