Caen Wood Towers Hospital mug

Caen Wood Towers, in Highgate, North West London, was a convalescent hospital for the Armed Forces during the First World War, where patients would have been cared for by St John Ambulance Voluntary Aid Detachment nurses. Photographs in the Museum collection show the dining tables of the hospital laid for a meal, the mugs lining the long refectory tables.
