Wine and water cruets

Cruets are small vessels used to hold water and wine before they are poured into a chalice in Christian religious services such as the Eucharist or Mass. These cruets are part of a small communion set used in the Chapel at the St John Ambulance Brigade hospital in Étaples during the First World War, and the Chalice is also part of this set.
