Haversack with First Aid contents
A haversack, a small bag with a single shoulder strap, was part of the uniform of a Cadet until 1987. Various first aid equipment like dressings and plasters were packed for use while out on duty, but many Cadets claimed to have used it for other reasons as well, notably for storing sandwiches!
