The 'Lord Mayor's Journey' dates to the 13th century as a popular public spectacle, which today is known as the 'Lord Mayor’s Show', the oldest and longest civic procession in the world, where businesses, Livery Companies, the City of London Police, charities (including St John Ambulance), and Londoners, come together to celebrate the City's prosperity.
