Not content with saving lives on the ground and in the air, St John Ambulance has also responded to casualties on the water. For a time, St John Ambulance manned a rescue boat on Rutland Water, where its trained volunteers could speedily attend to anyone who needed first aid on the shoreline or while participating in a variety of watersports on the reservoir.
