Banbury Combined Division and band members arrive at St Paul's Cathedral for the St John's Day service
On the right of the photograph, Marjorie, Countess of Brecknock, can be seen greeting band members as the ascend the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral. The Countess of Brecknock was a key figure in St John Ambulance, holding the role of Superintendent-in-Chief from 1960 – 1970. She was made a Dame of the Grand Cross of the Order in 1971.
