2 Zecchini of Grand Master Ramon Rabasa de Perellós y Rocafull
On the reverse of this coin a standing figure proudly bears the flag of the Order. This was a common motif on the Order’s coins, but this is unusual as it is a knight, rather than John the Baptist. The military rather than religious significance of this figure is confirmed by the armour worn, and the inscription which reads ‘Glory to me, doom to the enemies’.
