Crusader imitation dinar of Caliph al-Amir
This coin is one of seven examples in the Museum Collection that imitates those issued by Caliph al Amir (r. 1101-1130). The Arabic script of the original coins was not accurately copied, and so much of the inscription on this coin does not correspond to a real letter or particular word in Arabic.
