View of the Governor's Palace in Valletta
The building on the right in this watercolour is commonly referred to as the Grand Master's Palace, built by the Knights Hospitaller between 1573 -1578. During British Colonial Rule (1800 - 1964), the name was changed to the Governor's Palace and served as the governor's residence, hence the title on this piece of art.
