Preparatory drawing for the 1926 Commemorative Medal
A medal to commemorate the Pilgrimage of 1926 and the new Royal Charter of the same year was commissioned by Chapter General and overseen by the Order of St John’s Library Committee. The Duke of Connaught, the Grand Prior of the Order, is wearing an Order mantle over his Field Marshal’s uniform.
