Delhi Durbar Medal 1911
This medal marked the Delhi Durbar held in the King Emperor George V’s honour in December 1911. Most of the gold medals went to Indian rulers and government officials. Ten thousand of the 30,000 silver medals were awarded to officers and other ranks of the British and Indian Armies, without necessarily being present at the Durbar itself.
