Renée Warburton
Renée Warburton signed up to volunteer at the Dolphin Square First Aid Post in Pimlico, London, less than two weeks after the Second World War started. This wasn't her first time volunteering for the war effort; in October 1917, aged 18, she enlisted with the British Red Cross as a Voluntary Aid Detachment (VAD) nurse at the Winchester Red Cross Hospital.
