Hieronimus Benalius
Not an example of a pious and good knight, in 1613 in a letter to the Grand Master from the Order's ambassador in Rome, it was reported that Hieronimus Benalius had 'committed homicides and other crimes' while passing through the state of Venice to Milan with bandits.
