Jacques de Vachon Belmont
Jacques de Vachon Belmont was appointed Captain of the Magisterial Galley in 1716. This Gallery was the private ship of the Grand Master and was second-in command to the flag ship. He was later appointed Prior of Toulouse in 1766, the Grand Master's Lieutenant who took the reins when he was absent, but he died within a month of his appointment.
