Grand Master Manoel de Vilhena
Unlike other paintings in the collection which sit in oval frames, this painting is within a rectangular frame with painted curves of a fake frame in each corner. The painting features Grand Master Manoel de Vilhena, popular with the Maltese people for meeting increased demands for housing in Valetta and for building the Manoel Theatre, Europe's third-oldest working theatre, still in operation today.
