Grand Master Guillaume de Villaret
Guillaume de Villaret was the twenty-fourth Grand Master of the Knights Hospitaller, and was the initiator of the plan to acquire the island of Rhodes as a home for the Order. The plan was not realised until after his death in 1309 by his successor, and nephew, Foulques de Villaret.
