Andrew Wise
Andrew Wyse was the Grand Prior of England, but he held the post in exile in Malta as the English Tongue had been suppressed by Henry VIII in 1540. As the inscription of this painting suggests, by 1602 he was Councillor to King Philip of Spain in the Kingdom of Naples.
