Portrait study of Philippe de Vendôme
This is thought to be an original sketch by Jean Raoux for his larger portrait of Vendôme. It is unusually of very high quality and remarkably finished for a sketch, suggesting that maybe Raoux was particularly picky about his final piece. The larger painting is in the collection of the Louvre, but the Museum possesses a copy by Trevisani.
