Ultimo Disegno delli forti di Malta venuto nuovamente
The most recent drawing of the forts of Malta, reprinted
Printed and circulated in mainland Europe, this narrative map served as a real-time report on the progress of the siege. The inscription notes that due to the ‘turbulent times’, the image is not as refined as it should be. The quality of the engraving is good and it is likely this wording was included as rhetoric to emphasise the speed at which the news was printed and spread.
