St John Ambulance Association Re-examination Medallion with labels and pendants, awarded to Teresa Bowyer
This medallion was introduced by the St John Ambulance Association in 1879 for those who had passed three of its examinations. At least two of these had to be in first aid, but the third could be in either Home Nursing or Home Hygiene. Date labels were introduced in 1905 and were earned for each successive successful reexamination. Medallions were usually produced in bronze, but could also be purchased in silver or gold.
