Plan from the upper Story of the Palace and Library
This watercolour is a plan for the Grand Master's Palace and shows the upper story of the Palace and the Library. It was painted by Charles Frederick de Brocktorff, who is better known for his very detailed and beautiful watercolours of Malta, which begs the question if a technical drawing like this floor plan can also be considered as 'art'.
