On 7th October 1938, a group of 30 St John Ambulance Brigade members from the No. 1 (Metropolitan) District were readied for dispatch to Czechoslovakia [Czechia] on duty with the British Legion, following the annexation of the Sudetenland, although they were stood down. This sub-series contains correspondence relating to this intended duty.
