Sunday Cinema Fund Committee The Sunday Cinema Fund was created after the No.1 (Prince of Wales) District of the St John Ambulance Brigade began to receive proceeds of Sunday cinematograph entertainments for the presence of Brigade members. Due to this they became a recognised charity under the regulations of the London County Council under the Order of St John. The Cinema Fund Executive Committee was established by The Order to manage the activities of the fund including the donations and contributions of London cinemas. With the Fund, the Order contributed towards the development of the St John Ambulance Brigade Medical Comforts Depots and St. Paul's Ambulance Station. The Fund was largely reduced in the late 1930s due to the passing of the 1932 Sunday Entertainments Act.
