Accounts, Stores and Secretarial Copy Letter Books (Consecutive)

Copy letter books containing outgoing letters from St John Ambulance Association Accountant, Store Keeper/Director of Stores and Secretary William R. Edwards (1894-1918) and Assistant Secretary Duncan Monteith (1912-1918). There are also some letters from Chief Secretary Herbert Perrott (1894-1915). The letters are largely administrative and relate to the general activities of the St John Ambulance Association including examinations, the issue of certificates and medallions; Stores price lists and equipment orders including stretchers, uniform, handbooks, first aid hampers and carriages; lectures, examinations, classes, membership, the specification of ambulance carriages, railway competitions, the registration of centres, accounts, regulations, the Central Executive Committee and Association personnel.
