The book contains a foreword by the Sub-Prior, information about and accompanying photographs of events which took place to commemorate the centenary, including a reception at St. James's Palace, an investiture at Buckingham Palace, a centenary service at Westminster Abbey, the Grand Prior's afternoon party at St. James's Palace, Empire first aid competitions, the centenary celebration parade, reception at the Royal Gallery in the House of Lords. Also included are a list of individual representatives of the St John Ambulance Association and St John Ambulance Brigade who attended the centenary celebrations.
